Made from BC Dairy
At Tree Island, we make our yogurt in British Columbia using fresh milk from grass-fed cows raised here on Vancouver Island. Each small batch is made with care, prioritizing nutrient integrity, small family farms and sustainable practices.
Kid-Approved, Parent-Loved
Our yogurts were first developed when our own children, the official Tree Island taste testers, were small. We wanted to craft something creamy and nourishing with no sour flavours (or faces) like we found with other brands.

What You Might Be Wondering
Canadian yogurt is made under some of the most rigorous dairy regulations in regard to not using growth hormones, responsible use of antibiotics and traceability requirements from farm to fridge. This is different than in the United States, where rbGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone) may still be used.
At Tree Island Yogurt, we take Canadian consumer and industry trust in us even further. We only use fresh, whole milk from BC family farms and never use foreign milk powders or artificial ingredients.
In fact, the very first thing we do when milk arrives from the farm is to test it to ensure it’s free of antibiotics. This is a signature part of our quality assurance process and our commitment to making yogurt you can feel good about.
Grass-fed means our cows graze on pasture during BC’s growing season (April to October) and eat a year-round diet based on grass.
Grass-fed milk tends to be richer in flavour, nutrients, and it supports healthier soil and ecosystems.
While we love farmers from all corners of our beautiful country, being from BC, we work with local farmers to give back to the communities that raised our family.
What makes BC dairy different from other dairy is that our farmers benefit from a temperate coastal climat, which allows for longer grazing seasons, lush pastures and access to fresh, dried and fermented grass all months of the year.
